Federal Government College, Daura.

Historical Background of the College:

Following the creation of Katsina State in September, 1987 by the Federal Military Government, a Unity College was established in Daura Emirate.

The Official Opening Ceremony of the Institution was performed on the 7th April, 1989 with Muhammad Hafiz Adamu as the first Principal and Mr. A.I.Uche as its Vice Principal Academic. The historic occasion was graced by His Royal Highness the Emir of Daura, Alhaji Muhammadu Bashar, State Commissioners, Representatives of the Federal Ministry of Education and a host of well-wishers.

As a mixed Institution F.G.C. Daura has the gigantic role of serving as a model post primary institution for Katsina State with Teacher’s College as its temporary site.

We strive to be committed to the students we are privileged to serve, in our alumni association, our dedicated, talented staff. We also take pride in having the most active and helpful group of partners, visionary parents, well-wishers, alumni and friends.

Everyday at the FGC Daura is like a blessing with the active students and talented staff members around.
